My Story

Hi, I’m Brandon Hollins. With over 20 years of fly fishing experience, I’ve explored some of the most stunning fishing destinations around the globe—Alaska, California, Michigan, Wyoming, Oregon, Montana, Nepal, Ireland, Mexico, Switzerland, and Germany. Yet, despite these incredible journeys, nothing compares to the world-class tributary fishing here in Rochester, NY, where my heart and passion for the sport always lead me back.

I’m a licensed, fully certified, and insured fishing guide in New York State, with additional certifications in CPR and water safety to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience on the water. My journey in fishing began at the age of 3, growing up on the tributaries of Lake Ontario, and has since led me to teach countless of enthusiasts—young and old—the art of fly fishing and fly tying.

When it comes to local waters, my knowledge is unmatched. I have spent thousands of hours honing my skills and understanding every nuance of our local tributaries. If you’re looking for an expert who knows these waters inside and out, you’ve found your guide. My expertise spans a range of techniques and species, including brown trout, steelhead, Atlantic salmon, and king salmon, using everything from streamers and nymphs to egg patterns and dry flies.
